Carl Pettersson gewinnt die Canadian Open in Toronto
Der Schwede Carl Pettersson hat die Canadian Open in Toronto mit einem Schlag vor dem zweitplatzierten US-Amerikaner Dean Wilson gewonnen. Der 32-jährige Pettersson konnte sich auf dem Par-70-Kurs mit 266 Schlägen gegen Wilson durchsetzen. Den dritten Platz sicherte sich der Brite Luke Donald mit 268 Schlägen. Der deutsche Golfprofi Alex Cejka hatte bei dieser mit 5,1 Millionen Dollar dotierten Veranstaltung den Cut um zwei Schläge verpasst.

Wilson baut Führung bei Canadian Open weiter aus
Der US-Golfprofi Dean Wilson konnte am dritten Tag der Canadian Open in Toronto seine Führung weiter ausbauen. Allerdings war es der Schwede Carl Pettersson, der für die überraschenden Schlagzeilen des Tages sorgte. Pettersson spielte auf dem Par-70-Kurs eine 60. Damit konnte er sich durch Platzrekord vom 66. auf den geteilten zweiten Platz nach oben katapultieren. Mit 199 Schlägen auf der Scorecard haben nun jeweils Tim Clark, Bob Estes und Pettersson nun vier Schläge Rückstand auf Wilson.
